Thank you for empowering these and other Georgetown students

I am pleased to share with you our annual report demonstrating the impact of your generosity and our University’s continued stewardship of your investment. Together we raised $337.6 million in Fiscal Year 2024. We are sincerely grateful for your ongoing generosity and dedication in everything you do for Georgetown.

This report has always opened with a message from President DeGioia, either a letter or a video. In it, he has always expressed unconditioned and sincere gratitude for the generosity of you and our other donors. The continuation and advancement of our mission depends on you. The news of Jack’s resignation has hit us all hard in the Georgetown community. But I am confident that with the continued commitment and engagement of our community, the work that Jack has led for 23 years, the work of becoming the University we are called to be, will continue undeterred and undiminished.

As you review your Stewardship Investment Report, I hope that you share a feeling of pride as we celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of our students, faculty, and larger University community in the last year.

You have our unrestrained gratitude for helping to make all of this possible.

Georganne Vartorella, M.D. (C’73, M’82) and her husband, Richard Statesir, M.D., recently made a landmark bequest commitment to establish a scholarship fund. It is the largest commitment for scholarships in Georgetown’s history. The bequest also provides grants that enable undergraduates to participate in enriching experiences beyond the classroom.

Matt and rob rizzo

Matt Rizzo (C’97) and his wife Melissa Hutson, along with Matt’s brother Rob Rizzo (C’99) and his wife Tracey Zaccone, chose to focus their giving on Georgetown’s Center for Multicultural Equity and Access (CMEA). The Rizzo Family CMEA Endowed Fund is the first exclusive endowment for CMEA’s general operating support.
